Service · AEO / GEO

When the AI answers, it should quote you.

Your future customers are already asking ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews for recommendations. AEO and GEO get your brand into those answers — with the citation link clicked.

What AEO and GEO actually mean

AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) is about structuring your content so answer engines — including Google's featured snippets and AI Overviews — can extract a clean, quotable answer.

GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) goes further: it shapes your content, citations and brand presence so generative tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini are likely to recommend you when users ask "what's the best…".

The two overlap heavily and we run them together — because the same fixes (clear definitions, FAQ schema, comparison content, third-party citations) feed both.

The 6-point AEO/GEO playbook

  • Definition pages. Short, quotable answers AI can lift cleanly.
  • Comparison content. "X vs Y" pages are AI's favourite source for recommendations.
  • Structured data everywhere. FAQ, HowTo, Product, Organization, Article — the lot.
  • llms.txt + clean semantic HTML. Make your site cheap for crawlers to read.
  • Third-party mentions. Get cited on Reddit threads, listicles, and industry roundups — AI weights these heavily.
  • Brand consistency. Same NAP, same description, same positioning across every directory and profile.

Why this matters now

Search has split. Roughly 60% of Google searches now end without a click— the user got their answer in the AI Overview, a snippet, or a People-Also-Asked block. On Perplexity and ChatGPT, traditional rankings don't even exist; what matters is whether your URL is in the citation list. AEO and GEO are how you stay visible while that shift accelerates.

What you'll see

Within 60–90 days you'll typically see your brand start appearing in AI Overviews for mid-tail commercial queries, and citations begin showing up in Perplexity for your core terms. We track all of this and report it in plain English every month.
